This project explores possibilities in using renewable energy on-board ships. The use of such energies will be tested on Icelandic and Faroese vessels during the project period. These tests will contribute to new knowledge and greater awareness of the use of environmentally friendly energy in shipping. In this way, the project expects to contribute to the realisation of NORA’s strategy programme, which includes a focus on the use of renewable energy in seaborne transportation.
